I was born in Utah but grew up in Singapore. At BYU I majored in Economics, joined the debate team, and spent the rest of my time adventuring outdoors. Upon graduating, I served in the DC South Mission. After a very brief stint in Dallas, TX, I returned to Arlington, VA, met Pace, started a family, and stayed for about a decade.
In 2017 we moved to Oakland, California, where the winds of societal change blow especially fiercely. I still love the great outdoors, albeit less aggressively these days now that I've had four kids, and I still love thoughtful, thought-provoking conversation - especially over a good meal!
